Hotel St. Ellis states "There is more to Legazpi City than just a volcano (pertaining to Mayon Volcano)," turns on my curiosity but traveling by van from Naga to Legazpi tired me out. So for now, I'll focus on writing about Hotel St. Ellis ...
Upon arrival and ocular of the reception area, something caught
my eye. It was not only the friendliness and courteousness of the staff which they were. Nor the mixture of elegance and class but with minimalism of zen type of structure which it was. But oh that great dessert display refrigerator from what I can imagine was their main dining outlet.
So I looked a little bit closer and there I saw a pili nut cheesecake. This brought interest to me because of the creative concoction of this dessert. Since childhood its either raw pili nuts, the honey coated ones orrecently the pili nuts inside the coco jam. So I ordered the pili nut cheesecake and it was heaven with a crunch. Normally, the velvety smooth melt in your mouth texture is what cheesecakecaholics love about cheesecakes. So this gave it a new twist...basically its just your ordinary graham crust, the cheesecake was lemon flavored and the topping was the honey coated pili nuts with white sugar glaze to hold the nuts together. YUMMY :D
After that sweet treat, I basically went to the spa center for they have FREE 15 minute massage either back or foot. I chose back massage and went to the sauna. Both are very good experiences since I was dead exhausted.
So now, I'm here back at my hotel room with my computer blogging.
If I were to rate this Hotel? It would be a 4.25 STAR for this is by far the last but definitely not the least, for its the most relaxed hotel we all have been to. CHEERS TO HOTEL ST. ELLIS!
Note: You can find fresh Pili's only at the Bicol Region for this is only the place where they are homegrown.
thank you for your comment Chef Dee
