Hotel St. Ellis states "There is more to Legazpi City than just a volcano (pertaining to Mayon Volcano)," turns on my curiosity but traveling by van from Naga to Legazpi tired me out. So for now, I'll focus on writing about Hotel St. Ellis ...
Upon arrival and ocular of the reception area, something caught
my eye. It was not only the friendliness and courteousness of the staff which they were. Nor the mixture of elegance and class but with minimalism of zen type of structure which it was. But oh that great dessert display refrigerator from what I can imagine was their main dining outlet.
So I looked a little bit closer and there I saw a pili nut cheesecake. This brought interest to me because of the creative concoction of this dessert. Since childhood its either raw pili nuts, the honey coated ones orrecently the pili nuts inside the coco jam. So I ordered the pili nut cheesecake and it was heaven with a crunch. Normally, the velvety smooth melt in your mouth texture is what cheesecakecaholics love about cheesecakes. So this gave it a new twist...basically its just your ordinary graham crust, the cheesecake was lemon flavored and the topping was the honey coated pili nuts with white sugar glaze to hold the nuts together. YUMMY :D
After that sweet treat, I basically went to the spa center for they have FREE 15 minute massage either back or foot. I chose back massage and went to the sauna. Both are very good experiences since I was dead exhausted.
So now, I'm here back at my hotel room with my computer blogging.
If I were to rate this Hotel? It would be a 4.25 STAR for this is by far the last but definitely not the least, for its the most relaxed hotel we all have been to. CHEERS TO HOTEL ST. ELLIS!
Note: You can find fresh Pili's only at the Bicol Region for this is only the place where they are homegrown.

CAMSUR WATER SPORTS COMPLEX
At a first glance I was wowed with all the panoramic views of this resort. But then when you look much closer at the place and what it has to offer... I have to say that it starts and ends just there on the view.
Camsur Water Sports Complex in my opinion, has an over rated advertising campaign. There are five main things that I shall focus on.
One, the customer service, being considered as a Resort comes with an expectation of service excellence. Disappointedly ,they did not even come as fair. Their service was slow considering there were only a few tables that were taken. They were delayed with their Breakfast Buffet and they have sections that are non-refillable which quite frankly deficits the purpose of an eat all you can buffet right? And last besides that they are infested with insects they were still reluctant to take action to appease their customer.
Two, their amenities are quite lacking in floor mats for the bathroom, entrance and kitchen. Also lacking was their phone lines are non-existent.
Three, they claimed to have their credit card machine broken but when I suggested that they can call the bank and do the credit card transaction manually, they didn’t even tried to entertain the idea.
Four, their food was really really forgettable. I found it bland which means I don’t care to elaborate.
And ah yes, their water sports – wake boarding that they are famous for saddens me. You line up and reserve at 6:00 AM @ P1, 500.00 (this does not include rent of equipment @ P650.00) per hour and are accommodated at 2:00 PM.
I rate them as a 2.5 STAR, which on my terms means THERE IS STILL SO MUCH TO IMPROVE. I do not believe in lost causes but rather bringing out the potential in general terms. SO CAMSUR WATER SPORTS COMPLEX keep on going!
